Maui's original bed and breakfast, Haiku Plantation Inn, is a step back in time to the simpler and romantic days of Hawaii's sugar and pineapple plantations. The Inn is located within the 1870s home of Maui's first sugar plantation doctor. The grounds and home are lovingly restored to reflect the era. The Inn provides well-appointed accommodations and is surrounded by lush tropical grounds, sweeping lanais, with an interior of vintage plantation style; large open windows for fresh breezes, and lots of comfortable spaces for chats with other guests.
Each room comes with its own private bath, ceiling fan, bath products, hair dryer and free wifi. Breakfast is served daily continental style via buffet where guests can sit and enjoy the local fruits and flavors of the islands to include: Hawaiian coffee, fresh cut fruits, yogurts, breads and pastry, cereal selection, tea, milk, juice and jams and jellies. Each day is a little different with our food selections.
Located on the North Shore of Maui and within the edges of the rainforest and upcountry, Haiku Plantation is centrally located, cooler with trade breezes, and easy to find within walking distance of Haiku's marketplace and 10 minutes drive to Paia. Stay among the local neighborhoods and away from the touristy crowds so a more realistic and organic emersion into the culture and lifestyle of real Hawaii.
