Cowgirl
Cowgirl opened its doors in February of 1989. The restaurant was conceived and founded by Sherry Delamarter after a visit to the Cowgirl Hall of Fame Museum in Hereford, Texas. Sherry brought the images, soul, and cooking of the Western cowgirl to New York City and created a warm, Texas-friendly atmosphere, one of the first true Country Western locations in NYC. We were also the first to offer a warm welcome to buckaroos with a kid's menu and trick-roping demonstrations on Hudson Street's now-bygone parking meters.

Over the years, the Cowgirl has hosted many famous CW recording artists including Dolly Parton, Reba MacIntire, Bonnie Rait, Roseanne Cash, Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus, Roger McGuinn and many others. We are proud to be a part of uniting true wild-west spirit with the independent, creative energy of NYC
