The Performing Arts Center, Purchase College is a four-theatre complex located on the campus of Purchase College, SUNY.
As the major professional, non-profit arts presenter in the Southeastern New York–Southwestern Connecticut region, The Center presents a broad range of world-class performances that engage, challenge, and educate as well as entertain, offering music, dance, theatre, family programming, comedy, and film. Located less than 30 miles outside of New York City, The Center presents many of the same artists as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the Joyce Theater, and BAM, with ample parking and affordable tickets!
The Performing Arts Center's season runs from late September through mid-May each year. Music offerings range from classical to jazz to pop and feature the leading artists of our time as well as emerging stars. As the major regional presenter of dance, programs have included only area appearances of several important traditional, contemporary, and folkloric companies. Theatre presentations reflect a deep commitment to presenting innovative ensembles, as well as rebroadcasts of National Theatre Live recordings from London's West End. Family-friendly events, top-notch comedy, and up-close-and-personal events such as master classes and artist talks round out the season, ensuring there is always something for everyone to enjoy.
The theatres, lobby areas, and support spaces are also available for rentals and can be adapted in a myriad of ways to suit your needs. With ample parking and multiple interior spaces to choose from and a professional staff to work with, The Center is an ideal and unique option for events of all types and sizes
