Relax in a cozy cottage right on the beach. Our thirteen housekeeping cottages are perfect for a getaway, romantic retreats or family gatherings. They are un-plugged, pet-friendly, and feature fireplaces (or wood stoves) and private beach area with chairs. With their spacing and wooded setting, they offer a sense of privacy and solitude that's hard to find elsewhere. Kids and dogs love to play on our expansive level pebble-and-sand beach which is one of the finest in the San Juan Islands. Enjoy sweeping views towards the north-west, dramatic sunsets, and beach fires.
Each cabin is fully equipped for housekeeping with stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and kitchen-ware, as well as bed linens, towels, etc. The cottages are stocked with books, games, and puzzles. Firewood is provided free of charge. We also have several mooring buoys for boats.
Our historic Lodge, originally the dining hall for the cottages in the early half of the 1900's, is a distinctive space for gatherings. With its gracious porch overlooking the beach, and its generous fireplace in the great room, it is perfect for conferences, seminars, and retreats (50 people max). It has an industrial-sized kitchen where groups can prepare their own meals, or arrange for catering.
The Gibson family has owned this unique 100-acre property for over 100 years, and the management of the business has been passed down through 3 generations. This makes us unusual, and adds to the sense of timelessness and tranquility that our guests enjoy and remark on.
