The Peruvian "picantería" is as much a part of the nation’s rich cultural legacy as are the flavors and aromas emitted from the delicacies prepared inside of its wood ovens. In 2015, the “picanteria” was declared a part of Peru’s national cultural patrimony and at La Feria we honor the traditional Peruvian kitchen by utilizing age-old recipes, sitting down to feast together at large tables with classic coverings, and by sharing the warmth of the kitchen in the form of flavorful and generous servings.

We bring the flavors of Peru’s most representative picanterias to the table starting with Cusco with a classic soups or some roasted guinea pig. From Arequipa we offer dishes suchas “cauche de queso” and rocoto soufflé with potato casserole, from lima “causa rellena” as well as chicken with rice and huancaina and from Piura we offer ceviche or mixed jalea.

Cusco’s Plaza de Armas helps to provide an ambience filled with local traditions, reuniting friends and family alike to create memories while at the same time passing down those traditions to new generations and visitors. Our balconies with view of the plaza below provide postcard imagines while huayno music brings back memories from yesteryear as lazy afternoons are spent playing “sapo” with a beer, or even a chicha, in hand. The delightfully familiar chicha de jora or quinoa chicha brings strength and nourishment for all who try.
