Trips are towards Ditton Meadows all year round. Trips passing the universities (The backs) are available until 31st March.
Come to our mooring at The Boathouse 14 Chesterton Road, Cambridge CB4 3AX, it has a delightful beer Garden Terrace which overlooks the river and our mooring. We are a short distance from the City Centre. There is a small pay and display car park with more pay and display in Chesterton Road or use one of the the park and ride car parks. The nearest one to us is M11 JUNCTION 13 - Madingley Park and ride.
Step aboard The Cambridge you will pass many interesting sights, college rowing boathouses, rowers, meadows and the wonderful wildlife.
Boat Trips on The Cambridge delivers an experience unlike any other river trip. The Cambridge is pollution free, it is 22' long by 9' 5" wide, very safe and stable with a capacity of up to 12 passengers.
Private bookings are available most of time, but we require notice for catering please.
On warmer days all the windows open, on cooler days you will be sheltered.
Aboard The Cambridge celebrate a special occasion with friends and family. We offer many types of private hire cruises: a PICNIC BUFFET, an AFTERNOON TEA, a CREAM TEA, Pimm's or Prosecco cruise or just have a lovely couple of hours after settling back into the comfortable seating to enjoy the views of a wonderful, tranquil boat ride along the beautiful River Cam.
Hens and stags: Start your day on The Cambridge, Have a pit stop at The Plough whilst we wait, return to THE BOATHOUSE for a meal and drinks, and perhaps carry on in the events room or continue on elsewhere.
Book a TWILIGHT CRUISE, enjoy the sights and sounds of wildlife when the river is at its quietest. THE CAMBRIDGE is the ideal boat to experience the sights and sounds of river because of its very quiet electric motor and all round visibility. The impact of The Cambridge on the river and its wildlife is minimal.
