Wheal Trenwith Cottage is a traditional cottage in St Ives, Cornwall. This AA 4 Star Gold Award is located on a small quiet residential area with easy access to the town centre, harbour and beaches. The beautiful, little town of St Ives is only a short 5 minute walk away.
Wheal Trenwith (Trenwith Mine) was constructed during the winter of 2004, after an old out building used as a workshop for the Trenwith Mining Company was demolished and reconstructed using all the original stone and timbers. It is, therefore, perfectly in keeping with the original building which dates back to circa 1825. It is full of charm and character and has been decorated and furnished to the highest standards.
Situated on two floors, the cottage is spacious and sleeps four people. On entering the front door and leading off from a tiled hallway are two beautiful double bedrooms each individually decorated. There is a lobby with a washing machine and a downstairs toilet and washbasin.
The stairs lead up to a large, light and airy living room with exposed wooden beams. Two large comfortable sofas and armchairs make a relaxing haven to read or watch Television. A large dining table with four chairs and a well-equipped fitted kitchen area provide all you would require for a comfortable self-catering holiday. The kitchen comprises an electric fan oven and hob, built in refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, smoothie maker and much more. The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, toilet and wash-hand basin and heated towel rail.
