An easy walking parkland course in a picturesque spot high above the River Tees, with stunning views of the surrounding Durham countryside, Barnard Castle Golf Club welcomes both individual players and visiting parties or societies.

Since its redesign several years ago, this par 73 course has matured into an excellent 18 hole venue. Natural water hazards can catch you out with streams, and a pond, coming into play no fewer than 15 times in your round – and perhaps more for some! Many new trees and shrubs around the course are now well established, creating further problems for an erratic shot. The course is now easy to play but difficult to master.

We also offer a bar and catering service for those requiring refreshment after their round of golf. The bar and restaurant are in an elevated position overlooking the 18th green.
