Winner of the gold award for best small attraction in the Southwest (2013), Exmoor Zoo is an ideal family day out. The zoo offers very special and unique hands on experiences for all its visitors.

Activities run throughout the day (every half hour in summer), you get to meet a bird eating spider, hold a snake, feed wallabies (under supervision), meet some of the zoos friendly furry animals and of course go to all the talks and feeding sessions (if you can)!

Home to the “Exmoor Beast” (a pair of black leopards) as well as Puma, Cheetah, Maned wolves, monkeys and lots of other unusual animals like hunting dogs, Caracal, Fishing cats, Tapir, Singing dogs and Binturong to name just a few! The zoo is a living place with changes all the time; no visit is ever quite the same.

Exmoor Zoo is different, neither a wildlife park or a city zoo, but a more friendly and contact orientated zoo which has grown into the North Devon countryside. The zoo is not so large so as to prevent you seeing everything in a visit and has some very rare and unusual animals on display - many of which you will not see in other UK zoos!

Carefully planted shrubs and trees as they have matured along the winding zoo paths keep you wondering what is next, providing a very relaxing and natural atmosphere!
