Belfairs Woodland Centre is a destination for all children and adults who want to enjoy Essex's earliest recorded Ancient Woodland. It is located in an area of 1160 acres of Living Landscape and is home to several of nature's threatened species.
The Centre provides a hub for people to meet and enjoy the fun and informative activities arranged throughout the year for children, families and adults including ranger- led walks, bug hunting ,den building and seasonal crafts.
After a walk round the Ancient Woodland guided by our ranger, learning about birds, bees, butterflies, trees or fungi or following on the trail of our carved wooden animals or a morning building dens or bug watching, there is nothing nicer than coming back to the Centre and enjoying a cream tea or a toasted panini with a mug of chocolate or a cappuccino.
