The centre is open seven days a week, 9am to 5pm, with a cafe, toilets, education room and informative displays, including a fossil and geology display, information on bird migration and the wildlife that use the site and a timeline from formation to the present day. The centre hosts a wide range of events, from fossil collecting on the beach to mini beast hunts and everything in between.
From the observation lounge, visitors will get wonderful panoramic views of the grassland at the Naze, the tower and on clear days all the way to the docks at Harwich.
The Naze is a fanatastic site for a School visit. It is in a truly inique location and has a lot to offer. Pupils can explore the the differences between marine and terrestrial life. Pupils can develop their knowledge of beach environments and look at pill boxes dating back to world war 2 and the iconic Naze tower which was built in 1720.
