Hackney Park is situated in a commanding and tranquil setting two miles from the village of Sway and two miles from Lymington in an excellent touring and walking area. It is a delightful residence standing in its own grounds adjoining open New Forest heath and there are superb walks, rides and drives from the property.
There are two self catering holiday flats each sleeping six persons and a Coach house which sleeps five persons. The accommodation is well equipped and cosy with full central heating. The beds are made up and prices include electricity and heating.
There are first class stables and grazing for those wishing to bring their own horses. The New Forest immediately adjoins the property which covers some 93,000 acres with magnificent woodland, open country, meadowland and streams. Wildlife includes the famous ponies, deer and most British mammals. The New Forest National Park has many well-signed footpaths, cycle routes and tastefully arranged car parks and picnic places which makes exploring the area a pleasure.
Hackney Park is close to Lymington, an attractive old town, which offers excellent shopping facilities and restaurants. It is a lovely yachting and sailing town at the mouth of the Lymington River and is the mainland terminus of the shortest ferry route to the Isle of Wight. The High Street leading down to the Town Quay has a busy market every Saturday.
Hackney Park is situated between the historic and renowned seaport of Southampton and the famous seaside resort of Bournemouth about 13 miles along the coast to the west. Here theatres, casinos, cinemas, bowling, piers, dances, boat cruises, lovely gardens and excellent shopping are all found. Throughout the area there is an excellent, wide variety of restaurants and pubs offering food too suit all tastes and pockets.
Other beauty spots, which are great to explore from Hackney Park include Christchurch Harbour, Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard. There are three good golf courses nearby. The nearest bathing beach is at Milford-on-Sea, four miles away and excellent sandy beaches at Highcliffe and Mudeford are about six miles away.
