The Kids' Kitchen runs award-winning cooking classes for kids. We run:

- weekly preschool classes for kids aged 2-5 and their parents/ carers. Each class has a maximum of ten children and lasts for 1 hour during which
time the children are introduced to that week's ingredient which they will cook with. The session is split into an introduction (to introduce that week's ingredients and get the kids warmed up with a song), then cooking time and finally a story/ game to round things off before the kids can taste what they've made and take a little home. The children also take home a recipe sheet and a special certificate for all the new foods they have tried, as I try to encourage them to experiment with new food and new tastes and we have a tasting table each week to try and help do this. Classes cost £15

- Sunday classes for kids aged 5+. These are unaccompanied 2 1/2 hour classes (10am - 12:30pm) with a maximum of 8 kids in a class. We tend to work to a more "traditional" format cooking a starter, main course, dessert and baked item and the kids take their lunch home to eat and for the family to taste. All the food is meat free and I can usually accommodate any allergies if I know in advance. They also take home a recipe sheet. To give you an idea of sample menus, recently we made a roasted broccoli and lentil salad, then a tagine with lemon and parsley couscous, sticky toffee puddings and lemon and poppy seed cakes. Classes cost £40 to include ingredients, use of utensils, take home pot and food and a recipe booklet.

- School holiday classes for kids aged 5+. Sessions are 3 hours again with a maximum of 8 kids in a class. We cook everything from scratch and usually to a “theme” – Italian, Dinosaur, Alice in Wonderland, Chocolate classes for example. Classes cost £40 to include ingredients, use of utensils, take home pot and food and a recipe booklet and a certificate as I try and encourage the kids to try new foods.

- Private classes for kids and/or adults which are £50/hr where we focus on building confidence in the kitchen and design a menu together teaching skills through recipes you want to learn. These make a great holiday experience cooking local food in an English setting

All classes are held in a home kitchen in Whetstone, London N20 with plenty of off street parking and near to the shops and cafes if you are dropping off your children and spending some time locally.
