Friars Hill Stables is located in the village of Sinnington, which lies just off of the A170, between Pickering and Kirkbymoorside. We have friendly and sympathetic qualified Instructors who are available to teach you whatever standard you may be, from complete beginners right through to advanced riders.

We have two Indoor schools allowing you to learn whilst staying dry and we are surrounded by beautiful countryside which makes for beautiful hacking, refreshments are available from the vending machines. We are a BHS registered livery yard and have great facilities here to allow us to care for your horse.

We are BHS and local authority approved and we also hold Club Mark accreditation. We have a Riding for the Disabled Group and also hold the Accessibility Mark so can cater for most persons with disabilities. We are a Centre Pony Club and a Centre Riding Club which means both adults and children who wish to take part but who don't own their own horse or pony can still join in and enjoy themselves.

We hold monthly Unaffilliated Show Jumping and Dressage competitions for both our Friars Hill Stables riders and people who have their own horses and want to go out and compete. We also run Nervous & Novice Show Jumping which is more of a training type session aimed at the Nervous or Novice riders or horses. Last but not least, we have Little Leagues - a series of 6 fun competitions without any pressure, it's all about learning whilst having fun and also Little Own a Pony Days for those who would like a more hands on experience.
