Close your eyes, and picture the typical inn in the typical English village… Then that’s The Castle Inn Hotel. Nestling in the heart of the South Downs the charming village of Bramber is a beautiful place to visit, and a restorative place to stay. You could feel in the middle of nowhere here, and yet you’re within easy reach of Brighton (8 miles), Worthing (6 miles), Brighton City (Shoreham) Airport (4 miles), Gatwick Airport (22 miles), Newhaven Ferry Port (26 miles) and road & rail links to London.

The Castle Inn Hotel is a family-run business at heart, whose members include the owners of 20 years, and the next generation – drawn back here after successful careers in the military and City of London. Perhaps it is this breadth of experience that helps guests feel so comfortable, whether they be commercial travellers, families, holiday-makers or people hosting family and business functions. We can be your home-from-home, a restful staging point on a longer journey, or even a secluded getaway in which to plan, debate and hatch future business strategy.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATION

All rooms are en-suite, except one room which has a private bathroom. All have flat screen TV, Sky with all of the movie, sports and documentary channels, as well as tea and coffee facilities. Please let us know well in advance if you’re bringing pets, as we have that option too. Prices range from £45 – £110 per night, including breakfast.

DINING

For your comfort and relaxation we have the Bramber Dining Room that is reserved for adults (+14). The newly-refurbished Coach House dining room with 32 seats serves breakfast, lunch and dinner; this is our family-friendly dining room. We have a spacious bar area that seats 34 and when the weather is good we have a lovely English garden that seats a further 72.

THE INN

Inside the Inn there is “Olde Worlde” furnishing, and an exquisitely kept bar. Boasting some very fine ales and an even more impressive wine list there is something to keep everybody happy, from the connoisseur to the casual drinker. The Landlord keeps a perfect cellar which is reflected by the success the family have had in a twenty-something year, three pub career.

If you want Olde Worlde, we’ve got it. The original build is 17th century with nooks, crannies and probably not a right angle in the entire place.

If you want contemporary, we’ve got it. Cuisine ranges from traditional English, to nouvelle, haute cuisine, vegetarian and world foods. Sky TV with all of the sport, film and documentary channels and complimentary wi-fi are provided throughout.
