Silent Pool Distillers is an artisan distillery founded in the spring of 2014. With a vision of creating handcrafted, premium spirits, we located our distillery on the banks of the spring-fed Silent Pool, on the Duke of Northumberland’s Albury Estate, in the beautiful Surrey Hills. Our still is powered the traditional way, burning locally sourced hard wood in an English, vintage, steam boiler. We even have a 3-chime steam whistle. Blasts on the old steam whistle, traditionally sounded on a distilling day, let the locals know gin was being produced.

All our spirits are entirely crafted at the distillery, from distilling to bottling. We released our flagship brand, Silent Pool Gin, onto the UK market in April 2015 to critical acclaim, winning several international tasting awards. We also produce additional gin variants including navy strength and gin cordials (strawberry and blackberry) as well as an rye vodka and fruit liqueur.

And for the gin-curious, why not immerse yourself into the world of Silent Pool Gin with a 90 minute Gin Experience tour - an informational deep dive covering all aspects of gin production including, of course, a product sampling! Available Tuesday and Thursday evenings 19:00-20:30, Saturdays 11:30-13:00, 14:00-15:30, 16:00-17:30 or Sundays 10:00-11:30, 12:00-13:30, 14:00- 15:30. Visitors are welcome at the distillery 7 days a week to see where the magic happens, sample our award winning spirits and buy from our on-site shop. Opening times are: Mon-Sat: 9:30 -17:00, Sun & Bank Holidays: 10:00 - 15:00.
