Perfectly situated to visit all of Scotland's major cities and attractions within a day, Broughty Ferry is a delightful town to base yourself in while exploring Scotland. The city of Dundee is on the doorstep and easily reached by public transport from our door. We have two universities in the city, The Abertay and Dundee Uni. They are both very popular with families and students alike, staying with us at Brought Ferry is ideal when visiting either. Dundee is a city on the rise as one of the best destination in Scotland, with it's many historical attractions, including the new Victoria & Albert museum (the only one in the world outside London ) due to open soon. Many of Scotland's world class golf courses are on the doorstep, St Andrews, Carnoustie and Gleneagles but to mention a few. We have a beautiful beach and our own Broughty Castle just a few minutes walk from the guest house. Glamis Castle, the home of the Queen Mother, is a short drive away and still home to the Strathmore family. It has a thousand years of history and beautiful gardens to explore.
The guest houses have been sympathetically upgraded while keeping as much of the traditional style as possible. We provide individually decorated, en suite rooms with quality linen, all toiletries, tea and coffee, free wifi, plenty of parking and the warmest of welcomes.
We love to cook breakfast for our guests and offer an extensive menu to cater for all tastes including any special dietary requirements ( just let us know ). Our breakfasts are 'cooked to order' with fresh, local ingredients and the buffet includes fresh fruits and preserved fruits, yogurts, various juices, cereal choice and home bakes. All breakfasts are served with freshly ground filter coffee, a wide choice of teas and toast to suit your taste.
Coming to the Abertay/Stonelee guest house is an experience where you may arrive as a stranger but you will leave feeling like a long lost friend. We love our guests and try to make sure that their stay with us lives up to their expectations. Nothing is too much trouble, we are pleased to be at your service.
