A well established family owned traditional style hotel with 7 bedrooms, 6 double or twin and one family suite. All bedrooms are upstairs and are large they have en-suite, free-view TV, hairdryers, tea and coffee facilities and free wireless WiFi. Three are pet-friendly.
There is a cosy bar and restaurant where we serve evening meals Monday to Saturday. We have a daily menu on a blackboard and except when we offer a carvery evening there is an a la carte menu menu on offer. On Sunday lunch time we also have a popular carvery serving the best of local produce. We also cater for gluten free and vegetarian diets with much of the seasonal vegetables coming from our large walled garden and poly tunnel. In addition to dinners and Sunday lunches we cater for small private parties in our conservatory or dining room for birthdays, anniversaries, retirement parties, wedding breakfasts business meetings and funerals.
We are situated in a residential part of Lockerbie on the edge of the town 10 minutes west of the town centre and A74 motorway junctions. The hotel is set back from the main road with lawns to the front and east side, on the west side there is a large private car park. The entrance to Eskrigg Nature Reserve is 800 meters away for those who wish to stretch their legs after a long car journey or see the local wild life including red squirrels, dogs are allowed if kept on a lead.
We are an ideal base for heading west and exploring unspoiled Dumfries and Galloway with its mix of coastal and countryside views and of course Mabie forest with its many outdoor pursuits and dark sky status. You can also head north to Moffat and east to the borders district to Hawick, Gala and Melrose for a day out. Edinburgh and Glasgow are just over and hour away by train from Lockerbie station if you wish to leave your car for a day out in the city. For golfers there are numerous courses of different types to enjoy in Dumfries and Galloway.
