At Burnbrae Holidays we have three spacious, one bedroomed self catering holiday cottages, all on one level. Each cottage has a private, south-facing conservatory with magnificent rural views. The cottages have a wood burning stove in each living room for which we provide homegrown wood and central heating throughout the cottages.
Burnbrae is ideally located for exploring both sides of the beautiful Borders either by car, walking or cycling. We are 3 miles from the abbey town of Kelso with its many restaurants, cafes and independent shops. On site there is secure bike shed (for storing bikes, golf clubs and fishing tackle), a washing machine and tumble drier for guests use. Each cottage has a heated drying cupboard. The spectacular scenery can be admired from some lovely walks of varying lengths, some start from Burnbrae. The local area is known for its cycling with a good network of quiet lanes around Burnbrae. Horse riding is a very popular past time in the Scottish Borders, as is fishing and golf, with numerous courses within easy reach of Burnbrae.
Each cottage is ideal for two. Begrum cottage has a sofa bed for up to 2 extra guests and Thairn cottage can sleep up to 3. With prior notice dogs are welcome in Begrum cottage, Mungo's Well cottage and Thairn cottage are completely pet free.
Please see our Burnbrae Holidays website for more details or to book. Prices quoted include Wi-Fi, electricity, heating and wood for stove, use of bed linen and towels. If you prefer phone me to see how I can help you have a wonderful holiday. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Burnbrae.
