Welcome to the Shepherd’s Rest Campsite based at our family farm near Berwick-upon-Tweed in the picturesque Scottish Borders.
We offer visitors a choice of staying in our newly-converted Shepherd’s Hut or staying on our small campsite at the farm, set in its own private meadows, waking up to glorious views with a soundtrack of bird call and sheep wandering in the fields beyond. We are open from April-October, allowing you to appreciate the changing seasons.

Our location is rather special – nestled in beautiful countryside, with fantastic open views and dark night skies ideal for stargazing. The area is secluded and free from traffic jams and road noise, so you can relax and let the stresses of modern life fall away. Our farm is run non-intensively, so you can enjoy seeing the wildlife and our happy farm animals roaming the fields. Yet only fifteen minutes away from some spectacular unspoilt beaches and the local town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed. To travel to us couldn't be easier, we are only 45 minutes from Edinburgh or Newcastle by train (we can arrange to pick you up from the local station) or just 1hrs drive by car (private parking on site).

Whether you’re looking for that perfect Glamping getaway in our shepherd’s hut or staying on our beautiful campsite, either make the perfect spot, to explore the Scottish Borders & Northumberland. A lands steeped in history and tradition with unspoilt beaches, rolling hills and farmland as far as the eye can see.
