Cormiston Farm is a family run bed and breakfast in a Georgian farmhouse surrounded by the rolling hills of the Clyde Valley in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. It lies within 2 acres of mature garden and woodland, surrounded by farmland, some 2 miles from the town of Biggar.

Dinner can be requested in advance, and is a seasonal three course menu of local produce from the walled kitchen garden and from local farms. The emphasis is on good ingredients cooked in a simple way. We have a small list of excellent wines to accompany your meal and great beers from the Broughton Brewery. We are licensed to serve alcohol. There are some good local pubs in Biggar and Coulter if you prefer to dine out.

Our bed and breakfast accommodation and services are rated "4 Star" by Visit Scotland (Scottish Tourist Board): "An excellent standard of facilities and services." Although we aren't a hotel we offer many facilities and services not often found within bed and breakfast accommodation.

Tinto is a large bedroom with a super-king-size four poster bed (6ft wide). The furniture is mostly Edwardian, and the decor is William Morris. The bay window looks out over the hills to the south west. A private, art-deco, listed bathroom is nearby, with toilet, washbasin and the original Victorian bath, (with a shower fitting). Luxurious cotton bath-robes are provided.

Culter Fell has a king-size bed, inspired by a Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed chair. The window seat overlooks the hills to the south west. The room is decorated in Edwardian style with Mackintosh inspired furniture and curtains. There is a full size 1904 Edwardian "compactum" or wardrobe, with military style drawers and a patented clothes hanging system. A private bathroom, with bath (and shower fitting), toilet and washbasin is just down the hall.

Just 15 minutes from the M74 at Junction 13, a peaceful place to break your journey or stay and visit the many attractions of the Clyde Valley. Ideal for visiting the World Heritage site of New Lanark or as a base to visit Glasgow and Edinburgh.
