At Edinburgh Boat Charters we offer a range of five-star experiences and our high specification luxury sailing yachts are unique to the East coast of Scotland. Sailing in a beautiful, historic and inspiring location we are owned and “skippered” by a passionate, experienced sailor, local to the area, who is dedicated to providing you with a fantastic day out. We can cater to a full range of clients, from private hire, to friends and family on our scheduled trips. Our trips last from a couple of hours to a full day and will be designed to suit your bespoke needs. Our new Catamaran is proving especially popular amongst our clients for this year and is perfect for sailing in style.

The Firth of Forth is the perfect setting for your sailing experience, full of wildlife and history. No matter which trip you choose you will experience the wonder of sailing underneath the historic landmark that is the Forth Rail Bridge. You will navigate around various islands on the river, before heading back up river to Rosyth Dockyard to view the new aircraft carriers. Depending on the length of your trip and the tides there is the choice to see either Blackness Castle or Inchcolm Abbey, both of which are fascinating historical landmarks. We also offer an extended day trip to Anstruther on the East Coast of Fife, which gives you the perfect opportunity to view more of this gorgeous country. This ultimate sailing trip includes a world-famous Fish & Chip supper and a taxi ride back to Port Edgar Marina at the end of the day.

On the trip you will be free to relax and keep an eye out for the native wildlife such as seabirds, seals and porpoises that call this stretch of water home. If you prefer a more “hands-on” approach you will be encouraged to take a turn at steering the boat yourself.

If you fancy a more exclusive trip choose us for a private charter to commemorate a special occasion, as a well deserved treat for yourself, friends or family, or simply to gain practical experience on a large sailing yacht. To make private charter more affordable for couples and small groups, we offer discounted rates. You can book your charter for either our yacht “Inspired Capital” or our Catamaran “Edinburgh Castle”. Larger groups can be catered for using multiple yachts and high-speed RIBs. With our ability to offer catering options, you can rest assured that we will take care of your every need.
