Yr Hen Stablau is a renovated 1840s stables, 4* selfcatering, set in luxuriant gardens in the Dyfi Valley near Machynlleth, Snowdonia. The peaceful setting and comfort make Yr Hen Stablau ideal for a relaxing winter or spring break and it is an excellent base for an active holiday walking, birdwatching, on the beach or playing golf.

Yr Hen Stablau is Welsh for The Old Stables. We have preserved existing walls, used original stone, slates & timbers, and made the building energy efficient. Features are - heating by LPG gas and solar energy, draught lobby to reduce heat loss, porch with glazing to prevent draughts and use solar energy, double glazing of all windows, thick insulation and draught sealing, low solvent organic paint on all walls, underfloor heating, 92% efficient boiler, passive ventilation, reducing energy use, woodburning stove using on site logs, electric Vehicle charging point. There are 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6.The cottage is energy efficient, has woodland views on all sides, underfloor heating and a woodstove. The ground floor is fully wheelchair accessible.
