Mayfield, Australia’s hidden gem; a visitor destination like no other. Originally created to just be one of the world’s largest privately-owned cool climate gardens, now has become the artistic and entertainment hub for the Central West and beyond. Providing an immersive and intimate destination that ignites your imagination. It’s like no other...and it must be seen to be believed.This cool climate garden is amazing in all seasons from the water lilies in bloom in Summer, the colourful foliage of Autumn, the raw structure and form of trees on show in wintertime and the lush growth and heady scents of Spring. The garden will continue to transform and mature and it will also change from one season to the next. This offers a year-round opportunity to deliver on the promise of transformation.

The famous features and follies that are every twist and turn throughout the garden, be it from the Copper Tree, the Allee of London Plane trees, to The Gallery (Mayfield’s new exhibition centre) and interactive garden games for everyone to enjoy.

The Private Garden extends beyond Mayfield Garden and is breath-taking in its design and expanse. Whilst Mayfield Garden is open year-round, all the Private Garden is open to visitors for 16 days throughout each season. Those features include; the 80m cascade, the large (& challenging) English maze, croquet court, Walled kitchen garden, Amphitheatre, and protruding Chinese pagoda.

The onsite wholesome and rustic Cafe & Produce Store serving a seasonal paddock & garden to plate menu, where 80% of the produce is grown onsite from the garden beds as you drive into our carpark (keep an eye out when you visit) the 3-acre vegetable garden, 5-acre orchard and from Mayfield Farm, it’s more like “Farm to belly.” You can also take a piece of Mayfield home, from our delicious jams and chutneys, and other local merchandise.

Mayfield is an incredibly versatile venue, and will also be the stage for corporate retreats & private parties and specialist and tailored themed workshops: foraging, cooking, art and yoga to name a few, with a luxurious private onsite accommodation for retreat & wedding guests only. You will be dazzled by the magic and beauty of Mayfield and will see that the opportunities are endless for this awe-inspiring setting, that is beyond a world class garden.
