Longboard Bar & Grill opened up its first location in Townsville, North Queensland on Sunday March the 4th 2012. It is a beach, beer and surf-themed venue that sits on the Headlands on the Strand facing Magnetic Island and Cleveland Bay. Longboard Bar & Grill is where the beer and bar come together to create the perfect restaurant.
The cuisine is a reflection of great Australian fusion with a mix of American and Mexican styled cuisine where the extensive menu offers something for everyone. The lunch menu consists of dishes to share, to start with, a variety of burgers and wraps, pizzas, salads, as well as a selection from the grill. The all day menu offers a bar snack for anyone stopping by at anytime for a light snack and a cold drink. Patrons cannot get enough Frank’s Original Buffalo Wings and when you leave Longboards you will develop a craving that you never had before. The dinner menu reflects a lot of what the lunch menu offers but steps things up a bit with some great main plates. There is also low gluten and vegetarian dishes available.
Longboard offers a great range of Australian and international beers as well as a selection of draught beer. The wine list covers all the varieties which offers value for money wines as well as a few top range vinos for ones who appreciate the finer things in life. With such an amazing location it is no wonder that cocktails are always on demand and Longboard has a great range of spirits to concoct some extravagant cocktails.
