The Mountain View Country Inn is a 3 star, 24 room, country motel in picturesque Deloraine. We have a range of rooms to suit all guests, from singles, couples, families and business travelers. We have small budget twin rooms for those seeking a low priced, backpacker style room, through to our standard Queen Rooms, deluxe Queen Room, Spa Suite, Family Room and Two Bedroom Self-contained apartment. The majority of these rooms enjoy stunning mountain views of the Great Western Tiers and surrounding countryside. All rooms are equipped with en suite bathrooms, reverse cycle air-conditioning or heating/fans, electric blankets, LCD TV with DVD player, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms have access to free wireless internet.
Onsite, and a favourite with locals and guests alike, our Settler's Restaurant and Bar is open every evening from 6pm. The decor has an early Tasmanian settler's them with authentic memorabilia and pictures, as well as a fantastic open stone fireplace and timber furnishings. We use specially marked Bendigo Pottery for our restaurant crockery as well as steins to fill with our tap beer. The menu is well priced and features delicious, home-style cooking with all the family favourites. And, of course, our restaurant enjoys mountain views from large picture windows or our outdoor deck area.
The Mountain View Country Inn is the perfect spot to base yourself whilst you explore the many natural and culinary delights of the central north of Tasmania, including Cradle Mountain, Liffey Falls, Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm and Ashgrove Cheeses. Deloraine itself is a wonderful, historic township full of cafes, antique shops and arts/crafts venues, as well as all the modern conveniences of supermarkets, banks etc. The Mountain View Country Inn is located approximately 2km from the city centre.
