Built in the 1890s, McHardy Lodge is now a Qualmark 5 star rated Boutique Lodge situated in a quiet cul de sac on exclusive Napier Hill with stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges and Pacific Ocean. Fully renovated, the Lodge has four sumptuous deluxe super king suites, featuring ultra comfortable super king beds and spacious bathrooms with deep tub or claw foot baths and separate showers, and two smaller standard queen rooms with shower rooms en suite. A beautiful breakfast room with log burner and superb Ocean views, outdoor pool, large billiards room, library, separate television room, and verandahs overlooking the Pacific Ocean add to the relaxing atmosphere of McHardy Lodge.

McHardy Lodge is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from Napier centre and provides a luxurious and centrally located base from which to experience the Hawkes Bay wineries and gourmet dining experiences, the Art Deco heritage, golf at Cape Kidnappers, the Gannet Colony or our fantastic cycle trails around Hawkes Bay. Or it can be the perfect place to simply relax and unwind in luxurious surroundings in the Hawkes Bay sunshine, whilst still being within walking distance (or short drive) of the attractions of Napier City and the marina district of Ahuriri. We are happy to advise on restaurants, tours and activities in the Bay and we will make all reservations.

For the sports person we offer golf packages and fly fishing packages to suit all levels of expertise, and for partners who may wish something more relaxing, Arts and Scenic Tours which also are tailored to individual tastes.

We provide the ideal location for the business retreat, the bridal party, or the celebration of that special birthday or anniversary. Gift vouchers are available. Exclusive use of the Lodge is available by arrangement for that special house party with your friends.
