Glaciers are, and always will be, an amazing natural attraction. Whatever the season, glaciers never cease to amaze with their extraordinarily powerful appearance. Ice sheets, crevasses, craggy rock faces and undulating fields of snow are formidable proof of the power of nature.
Exploring the Hintertux Glacier with a certified guide is a particularly exciting experience. Not only will you discover interesting information about a glacier’s physical characteristics, but also learn about glaciology, glacial formation and growth, the effects and expansion of ice on earth.
This exciting guided glacier hike takes place three times a week during the summer (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:45 a.m.)
We meet on the panorama terrace.
You need to bring sturdy hiking boots, sun glasses, a coat and a cap or head band – it can get very cold and windy at these altitudes, even during the summer months!
