How we deal with death tells a lot about who we are, our origin and the time in which we live. Our society keeps changing and so do funeral rituals and mourning habits. The Dutch Funeral Museum explores our relationship with death, on the basis of the themes: Rituals, The Body, Mourning and Remembrance.

The museum is located on a serene, monumental cemetry, with a great variety of remarkable tree species. Quite often, people come to this cemetry to escape the business of the city and take a moment to reflect on life. After taking a walk or visiting the museum, it is possible to recharge in the small museumcafé.
