The monument, Fortaleza de la Mota, is the most important fortified town of the Al-Andalus period.
Amid the Alhambra of Granada and the Great Mosque of Córdoba, it shows the old medieval town, the houses, streets, buildings as the Abbey Church or the Alcazaba, the urban layout, as well as the defence system.
Come and visit us and discover the splendours of a medieval town, which lasted until the 16th century.
For individual tourists, a free audio-guide is included on the price of the visit.
We open from Monday to Sunday, and our \"opening hours\" are:
- SUMMER: (1 April to 14 October): from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm.
- WINTER: (15 October to 31 March): from 10 am to 6 pm.
