Located in beautiful Santa Monica, California, the Aero Theatre is a indie movie theatre with a throwback feel that features vintage Hollywood and foreign films. We show some of your favorite old movies you won't find in theatres anywhere else. Some of our events and showings also include one-of-a-kind discussions and talks with directors, actors, authors, and more!

Built by the Donald Douglas Company in 1939, the Aero Theatre was originally opened as a continuous 24-hour movie theatre for aircraft workers who worked in shifts around the clock.It was restored by the American Cinematheque in 2005, and seats a little over 400 guests. The theater is open for rental on days there are no events already scheduled. Check out the calendar on our website for more details!
