First: Choose your preferred train section:
1. Coach cars: These cars are open-air in the spring, summer, and fall, then enclosed during winter. They are box cars with first-come first-serve bench seating. Cost is $25.95 for adults, and $18.95 for children (3-15 years old).
2. Parlor cars: These are fully enclosed with carpeting and table and chair seating. A non-alcoholic beverage and a few light snacks are served. We also carry a beer and wine bar. Cost is $35.95 for adults, and $27.95 for children (3-15 years old).
Second: Choose a mine tour (optional):
1. The Lebanon Mine: This tour takes you about 500 feet into a mine tunnel originally bored in the 1870s. Through artifacts, documents, and photos, you’ll learn about mining and life in the old west. The tour also includes a visit to the manager’s office, miner’s change room, and the old mill. Cost is $10.00 for adults, and $9.00 for children. This tour is not recommended for kids under 5 years old.
2. The Extended Lebanon Mine: Going twice as far underground, this tour skips the exterior buildings and takes you about 1,000 feet into Levenworth Mountain. Guests will experience naturally occurring ‘silver pearls’, calcified boot prints, calcite dams, and stalactites that are over 100 years old. Cost is $14.00 for adults, and $12.00 for children. This tour is not recommended for kids under 7 years old.
3. The Everett Mine: This tour give visitors a sense of a mine when it was brand new and in operation in the 1880s. The interior mine exhibits cover the transition from hand drilling to mechanical drilling, black powder and dynamite blasting, ore removal, timbering, and tunnel construction. Guests also pan for gold and can take home what they find! We also provide a light lunch of hot dogs, chips, and lemonade. Cost is $14.00 for adults, and $10.00 for children. This tour is not recommended for kids under 5 years old.
