Historic Georgetown, Inc interprets two museums within the Victorian period in the mountain town of Georgetown, CO. The Historic Georgetown offers tours of the Hamill House Museum, a Gothic style Victorian era mansion originally constructed in 1867. Come and see how a wealthy mining baron would have lived and wander through the hallways and rooms of the house that features original wallpaper and furniture. The other site that is available is the Georgetown Firefighting Museum at the Alpine Hose #2. The Alpine Hose is arguably Georgetown's most recognizable landmark. Guests are guided on a tour of the historic fire house, originally built in 1875, and are told the stories of how the town combatted the ever present fire danger. These two museums are available in a package ticket or can be toured individually.
