The Edmond Historical Society & Museum

The Edmond Historical Society & Museum has been preserving the history of Edmond since 1985, housing over 40,000 photographs, documents, and artifacts from the days of Oklahoma Territory and the 1889 Land Run to the present.

The main gallery features thematic exhibits related to Native Americans, Pioneers and Early Edmond; Agriculture, Education, Commerce, City Government, Athletics, and Religion. Temporary and traveling exhibits enhance the museum experience.

The Children’s Learning Center is modeled after an 1889 town inviting hands-on discovery.

Providing opportunities for genealogical and historic exploration, the newly renovated Research Library hosts over 5,000 books for researchers.

Programming and events are held throughout the year for children and adults; offerings include Museum Tours, 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse visits, Victorian Tea, Spring Break Crafts, Living History Summer Camps, Homeschool Day, Scout Night & More!

Admission is ALWAYS free
HOURS: Tuesdays-Fridays 10 am - 5 pm & Saturdays 1 - 4 pm***
(*The museum will be undergoing renovations from October 23, 2017 - early January 2018 and will BE CLOSED during this time. Please come visit when we re-open!!)
