The Dorflinger Glass Museum and Gift Shop is located on the grounds of the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildlife Sanctuary. The museum is in the original home of Christian Dorflinger and has one of the nation’s largest collection of Dorflinger glass, produced from 1852 –1921. Come see more than 1,000 pieces of cut, engraved, etched, gilded and enameled crystal. For more than half a century, the Dorflinger Glass Works produced exquisite cut lead crystal that graced many of America's finest tables, including those of several White House administrations.
The museum shop features a unique variety of glass items, including an eclectic collection of handmade glass jewelry, paperweights, handblown ornaments made in the USA, glass pumpkins, suncatchers, etched beverages glass by Rolf Glass and more.
On Saturdays from July 1 to August 12, the Sanctuary is also home to the Wildflower Music Festival, an outdoor concert on Saturday evenings at 6:00 pm. Enjoy a wide variety of music each night under billowing pine trees in a natural outdoor amphitheater.
The grounds provide walking trails from .35 miles to 1.4 miles and are open daily from dawn to dusk.
