The main feature of this house is its latticed cast iron balcony, reputedly French origin, no other house in Lakeland stands so admired. The staircase in the centre of the house twists below a borrowed light which illuminates and floods light into the centre through the lantern between the chimney stacks.

All rooms are en suite and décor and furnishings reflect the ambience of an appealing reserved Regency house with shuttered window which work to keep each room warm during Winter nights, full central heatind as well as log fires when needed. The beds most of which are King size four poster with special Herdwick mattresses will ensure a good nights sleep after a long walk, dinner and either a power shower or a long soak in one of our cast iron slipper baths. Exclusive toiletries, bathrobes, as standard. We doubt if you will find a more relaxing ambience overlooking the lake and waking up to the waves gently lapping only a few metres from your room.
