A visit here is a must for all golfers; the beginner is catered for on the 9 hole Dene Course and the Purbeck Championship Course proves an exciting test for even the most accomplished golfer. The club dates back to 1892 and among the past owners who were responsible for the extension to 27 holes were Enid Blyton, the legendary writer of children's books and her husband Dr Darrell-Waters. The courses are built on heathland and are set within a nature reserve where many rare plants can be seen as well as rare birds. The course is frequently listed among the Top 100 courses in the country and the fifth hole was recently voted as part of the best 18 holes in the UK by National Club Golfer Magazine.

Philippe Bonfanti, the club professional, is a highly sought after golf coach who caters for golfers who are ambitious and want to improve their golf. Since becoming a member of the PGA nearly ten years ago he has travelled the world learning from the best teachers in order to see what makes them successful and investing in technologies such as Trackman and Sam Puttlab in order to leave no stone unturned for his students. Thanks to his association with these great teachers this has led him to be given the opportunity to teach a former Ryder Cup player on the range at a Major Championship. This has provided Philippe with invaluable experience and the confidence he can help anyone with their game.

Enjoy freshly prepared food from our bar and restaurant with panoramic views over Poole Harbour and the Golf Course. The club is open to the public and has outstanding cuisine presided over by Mr Jerome N'gapele, who was appointed head chef in 2018. Jerome and his team cover an enviable range of haute cuisine, freshly prepared and cooked on the latest equipment. The restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch and evening dinners are available on most Friday and Saturday evenings. The club is able to cater for any occasion, from a buffet to a wedding banquet.
