Butser Ancient Farm

Step back in time

Welcome to Butser Ancient Farm – a unique experimental archaeological site and a fascinating day out. Nestled into the rolling South Downs National Park, this ancient farm displays ongoing constructions of buildings based on real sites, crops from prehistory and rare breeds of animals. Including Stone Age, Iron Age, Roman and Saxon times, often with skilled volunteers showing their craft, be it cooking, weaving or fighting!

There is also a full programme of special events including fantastic Celtic festivals, workshops, lectures and unique themed events for all the family. A memorable family day out in Hampshire, just on the West Sussex border.

Please visit the website for full details of opening times and current prices.

Most romantic place in Scotland

I have travelled all over Scotland, but there is something special about the west coast of Scotland When i visited lochnell for a friends wedding i was blown away. The views to the hills north to Appin are stunning, and having the bay in front of the house makes it even better. I would definitely recommend Lochnell for someones dream highland wedding!
