These fabulous, quirky gardens opened to the public during March 2015. They have been developed over the last 10 years and have opened to rave reviews from the public and the national press and have recently been featured on the BBC.
They are aimed at gardeners and non-gardeners alike. They have been designed in individual themes in a similar way to the Chelsea flower show gardens but are ‘real ‘ and permanent. There are 12 gardens and include an African jungle, an Italian Piazza with musical fountains and an’ Alice in Wonderland' garden with 'Mad Hatter' tea party.
The gardens are designed to provide fun and interest in gardening. Water features play a major part as they add sound and movement to the gardens. With over 20 water features including the remarkable musical fountain designed exclusively for Ralph Court the gardens provide constant movement and breath-taking displays.
Divided into 12 themes, the garden transports you around the world, incorporating mythology, fantasy and culture. Careful planting has ensured the gardens provide scent and colour throughout the year with many rare and unusual trees and shrubs creating a focal point within the gardens. Truly a garden for everyone, plantsman and ‘non-plantsman’.
ACCESS AND FACILITIES
Care has been taken to ensure all areas are ramped allowing easy access throughout for wheelchair and pushchair users. Toilets are located in the restaurant and the gardens and these include disabled and baby changing facilities.
There is a large car park suitable for coaches and a further overflow car park that can comfortably accommodate up to 500 cars.
RALPH COURT RESTAURANT
This fully licenced restaurant overlooks the gardens and beyond offers breath-taking views over the Malvern Hills. The award winning chef uses home grown fruit and vegetables to produce a mouth-watering selection of ‘specials’ in addition to the comprehensive menu.
Cream teas are a speciality and afternoon teas for that special occasion. On Sundays a selection of roasts are available to complement the extensive menu. The restaurant has seating inside and outside for over 100 visitors.
