Wyreside Lakes is a family run business, situated in over 120 acres of farmland at the foot of the Bowland Fells in Dolphinholme Lancashire. On the estate there are 6 fishing lakes with a superb stocking of coarse and pike and for walkers and those who appreciate nature, the River Wyre meanders through the property alongside the beautiful bluebell laden Fox’s wood.

A variety of way marked paths through the Fishery connect the lakes and there are many attractive walks in the surrounding countryside. We have a mixture of carp, pike and coarse fishing offering a variety of species and size which will provide a challenge to both the professional and novice angler. Our campsite (families & responsible adult couples only) has a full range of facilities for overnight stays including grass electric pitches for caravans, camper vans and motor homes and lush green fields for tents to camp on.

There is toilet and shower block, which are all free of charge to use, including a disabled / baby changing room and also an onsite shop and launderette, equipped with hairdryer and iron.

For the children there is a safe outdoor play area and lots of wildlife and a wood to investigate - Please note: the river Wyre runs adjacent to the wood and can be very dangerous. Please do not allow your children to roam unattended or swim in the river.The nearest public swimming baths are at Garstang (5 min drive away).

Unfortunately due to our rural location we are not on any main bus routes - the nearest route into Lancaster or Preston is on the A6 at Galgate and is about 1 hour walk from Wyreside. The nearest train station is Lancaster and this is approx 8 miles from Wyreside. We have several taxi firm contact details and we will be happy to assist you if you require alternative methods of transport.

The surroundings at Wyreside are very natural and peaceful. Many of our guests come to take in the views and relax. However for the more lively person we do provide entertainment in the Fisherman's rest (Weekends only and throughout the summer holidays) such as theme nights and karaoke / Disco weekly. Children are also allowed in the club house in the evenings (accompanied by their parents / guardians)

We also have Gas Cylinders (and refills) for sale, including butane and propane all at competitive prices.
Not all pitches (tent and caravan) are level -some are sloping. The top field has a steeper gradient than the lower field.
The campsite is open from February until January annually.
