The Chocolate Museum is an independent museum established by Isabelle Alaya, a French artisan chocolatier, who started her own brand, Melange Chocolate, in 2008. Our mission is to inspire a passion for learning about quality chocolate and its history both in Britain and worldwide.

We run a dynamic programme of workshops for the whole family as well as for schools, or for special occasions. We also hold monthly events with food, chocolate demonstrations by expert chocolatiers or bean-to-bar makers and drop-in workshops.We are an independent, self-funded museum that showcases our collection of objects and memorabilia related to the history of chocolate, with focus on British heritage. Our mission is to inspire a passion for learning about quality chocolate and its history both in Britain and worldwide. In our café we serve hot chocolate and hot drinks, while in our shop we sell ethically sourced, fine chocolates from all over the world. We also run workshops, especially for primary school children.
