The Museum of Methodism tells the history of Methodism from John Wesley to the present day and its contribution to shaping Britain’s political and social history. Our museum displays hundreds of Wesley and Methodist objects as well as an introduction video narrated by Huw Edwards and a shop.
John Wesley’s House stands next to the Chapel. His home for over a decade it is one of the finest surviving small Georgian townhouses in London with pieces of Wesley's furniture and possessions still on display. Monthly re-enactment events take place in the house once a month so it is worth keeping an eye on our website.
The chapel was built the same year as the house in 1778 and still has an active congregation and weekly services. It has a fine collection of stained glass windows dating back to the early 1800s.

Our heritage stewards are on hand to help during your visit and will take you on a tour of Wesley's House.
The museum and chapel are accessible for those with wheel chairs or prams, however Wesley's House still has the original terrace staircase over 4 floors.
