Caerhafod Lodge is a Visit Wales graded 4star hostel situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, near Britain's smallest city St Davids. We have stunning 180 degree sea views up and down the coast over the Irish sea, it's a fabulous location, just sit on one of our sea view patios with a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset.
We sleep up to 23 people in 5 ensuite bedrooms 3x4, 1x5 & 1x6 beds per room all bedding and bed linen is provided, in addition there's a fully equipped kitchen diner, a spacious sitting room and a laundry/drying room. We offer free to use wifi. Dogs are welcomed by arrangement. There is ample free off road parking next to the Lodge. If traveling by public transport both the 413 service bus and the 404 Strumble Shuttle bus will stop at the bottom of our drive.
Our location is ideal for anyone wishing to walk the glorious Pembrokeshire Coast Path, or enjoy numerous water based activities like coasteering, kayaking, and surfing. Boat trips to the islands like Ramsey, Skomer and Grassholm, to see Puffins, Ganets, Razorbills and many more seabirds or Atlantic Grey seals and Dolphins, are all available locally. The area is steeped in history, there are numerous standing stones, and bronze age hut circles nearby, and St Davids boasts the largest cathedral in Wales! There are several places to eat near by, the Ship Inn in Trefin is the nearset being only 1 mile away. Porthgain has a faulous sea food resteraunt called the Shed and the Sloop Inn for dining out, and 2 art galleries. The harbour at Porthgain is beautiful, an amazing place to spend a quiet evening.
We offer dormitory accommodation, and family rooms. Why not hire the whole hostel for a party or a family gathering, our exclusive hire rates start at £325.00 per night in the low season for a minimum of 2 nights hire, 3 night minimum hire on bank holiday weekends.
