Tasman Venture’s half day morning and afternoon whale watch cruise departs twice daily from the Hervey Bay Marina and provides passengers with a tranquil cruise through the Great Sandy Strait, past rugged untouched islands before travelling along the remote pristine western side of World Heritage listed Fraser Island. View the abundant marine life swimming in the crystal clear waters of the bay before finding a pod of whales at play in the protected waters. Enjoy once in a lifetime up close and personal encounters with these majestic creatures and marvel at their sheer size and athleticism. The friendly, experienced staff will provide expert commentary throughout the tour as well as serving morning or afternoon tea and delicious antipasti platters. The tour concludes with a relaxing cruise back to the Hervey Bay Marina in air-conditioned comfort.
The Remote Fraser Island Tour departs the Hervey Bay marina on the fast and luxurious 20m catamaran “Tasman Venture”. Cruise the Great Sandy Strait along the pristine shores of Fraser Island and spot dolphins, turtles, dugongs, birds and dingoes whilst enjoying a light morning tea. Transfer to the western side of World Heritage listed Fraser Island on an amphibious watercraft designed to drive right up onto the beach ensuring guests disembark dry and comfortable. Enjoy the crystal clear waters of Wathumba Creek with a range of activities including snorkelling with turtles, kayaking, tubing, beach walks stand up paddle boarding. Following an Aussie BBQ buffet lunch served on the boat, the tour cruises to the picturesque location of Awinya or Bowarrady Creek on Fraser Island. Enjoy the amazing diverse natural surrounds while stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, snorkelling, walking, beach activities and other free water sports.
