C'era una volta is a restaurant in the Tuscan countryside, more precisely in Chianti, halfway between Firenze e Siena . The place has a familiar, cosy and warm style, where the guests can feel at their own home. Dishes are supposed to be more substantial than decorated with frills, and descend mainly from Tuscan tradition. Almost everything is homemade, from appetizers to desserts, and prepared with fresh ingredients, consequently the menu changes depending on seasons. There is also a wide selection of wines, especially local ones.
There are four rooms containing about 80 guests, and a terrace with 30 places. Both terrace and one of the rooms (called ‘veranda’, that is covered terrace) overlook a very large panorama: it is possible to admire Tuscan wonderful hills and countryside and, in the evening, spectacular sunsets…
The restaurant is open both for lunch and for dinner (except Tuesday, our relax day – although, if a Tuesday is an holiday, we are open); during low season we open daily at lunch and for dinner only during the weekend (the other nights we open for a minimum reservation of 6 persons).
