The word Michie in Japanese means “filled with smiles and laughter”. It makes us happy when a customer approaches us and says “thank you, that was delicious.” Michie Sushi is a family business; we take pride in our returning customers. We started Michie Sushi as a take away in Ranelagh in 2007. Soon, catering and deliveries were added. Due to demand, we opened a small restaurant in 2011. In our first year, we won McKenna’s Best Sushi in Ireland, an award we have won every year since. We have also won Best Casual Dining in the Restaurant Awards and Best Ethnic Restaurant by Georgina Campbell.
We are proud to have 3 more restaurants in Dun Laoghaire, Sandyford and IFSC and 2 Sushi Bars in Avoca Rathcoole and Avoca Kilmacanogue.
Even though we specialize in hand rolled sushi made to order, we also offer some very popular Japanese hot dishes like Ramen and Okonomiyaki. With our top quality sushi, made by chefs only trained within Michie, consistency is our priority.
