From the humble beginnings of one property in the Coppermines Valley, Coniston, more than 25 years ago, we have grown into a company that now offers over 80 hand-picked, self-catering Lake District cottages.

While we have added to our collection of cottages significantly over time, our ethos remains the same:

Winners of the Trip Advisor 'Hall of Fame Award' we are based in the heart of the pretty Coniston village, our little office is open seven days a week and there is always someone here to answer the phone. We pride ourselves on knowing each one of our properties inside and out, meaning we can always give you, as the guest, honest and reliable information.

From secluded mountain cottages for the ultimate escape, to snug village cottages designed for two, here at The Coppermines we have something to suit all needs and desires. We can comfortably accommodate up to 35 people in our larger properties and even have a licence to hold civil wedding ceremonies.
