Skern Lodge operates from an 18th Century converted farmhouse and courtyard within 22 acres of their own grounds. The centre is situated just outside the picturesque fishing village of Appledore, near Bideford in North Devon with the tidal waters of the Torridge estuary on the doorstep.

Activity holidays, short breaks and courses are available for a variety of group types, and packages can be tailored to suit not only your preferred level of adventure but also something to suit your pocket.

Activities available include, surfing, climbing, abseiling, archery, orienteering, power-boating, high ropes course, zip wire, crate stacking, crabbing, coastal traversing, bridge/quay jumping, river kayaking, tunnels, swimming pool, boogie boarding and rafting.

The Lodge is a comfortable and practical centre. There are three separate accommodation areas, all with central heating, plenty of showers, good drying facilities, meeting rooms and lounges. Many of the rooms have expansive views across Northam Burrows

We take great pride in providing (probably!) the best food in our industry – great variety, fresh, local options and served by an outstanding team with care and good humour. Any dietary requirements can be catered for and there are plenty of healthy options.
