Chafford Gorges visitor centre is set in a spectacular position over looking Warren Gorge. Chafford Gorges nature park offers 200 acres of green space for numerous wildlife and recreation for the 12,500 people living in Chafford Hundred.


The centre is set in a spectacular position overlooking Warren Gorge. The park offers 200 acres of green space for wildlife and people of Chafford Hundred. A network of pathways take you around the lakes, meadows and woodland. You can get up close and personal with the wildlife, history and geology of the site. The visitor centre provides information about the park to help you make the most of your visit.

Visitor centre facilities

The gift shop includes hot and cold refreshments, cake and snacks. We also sell toys, books, bird feeders & feed, greeting cards and much more. The toilets are wheelchair accessible and include baby changing facilities. A hearing loop is available. Whilst enjoying a drink on the deck, you can watch the birds at the feeding station.

Chafford Gorges visitor centre is within walking distance of Chafford Hundred railway station.

If you have more than one dog, they must all be on a lead. Maximum of four dogs allowed. At Lion Gorge, all dogs must be on a lead.

Chafford Gorges visitor centre offer birthday parties for children aged 2 upwards.

Visitor Centre Room Hire

The visitor centres has a room available for hire for a donation. It seats 20 conference style, approximate size 6 metres x 6 metres. Facilities available: cloakroom, sink area only, toilets, separate kitchen available for drinks only. Please contact the visitor centre for bookings or further details
