Juniper cottage is very dog friendly and is located in the quiet Cotswolds village of Uley. It lies on the historic Sheppards Mill estate, which has an interesting history in the wool trade. It is edge of village and therefore close to the village pub (takes doggies inside and outside and sells beer from the local Uley brewery) and the village community shop, but also immediately next to lots of lovely walks in fields, hills and woods. We have our own land; lovely paddocks with waterfall and streams running through, plus adjacent fields which lead out into the wider countryside.
We take up to 5 well behaved doggies, but you don't need doggies to stay here - we have people staying for walking/rambling reasons of all kinds, as the Cotswolds Way is just up the road and within easy access. The cottage is self-catering and sleeps 4 people (in one double and two single beds).
There is an enclosed garden and lovely views across fields to the hills beyond. The wildlife is wonderful - lots of birds, including heron, kingfisher, woodpeckers aswell as buzzards. Along with lots of wild ducks and geese in the fields opposite the cottage.
A wonderful restful holiday in the traditional English countryside.
